BETRAYED BY THE REVOLUTION

Kaushalya Devi is not a political pioneer and she is not rich. Still, she charges evident admiration from the man in the city in this residential area in northwest Bihar — whether it is the rickshaw puller or the roadside peddler. All things considered, her child's statue graces the town's Gopalganj More Chowk. Chandrashekhar Prasad was an office conveyor of the CPI (ML). While learning at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, he was chosen president of the understudy's union twice.

He was 34 when he was gunned down, purportedly by men having a place with Mohammad Shahabuddin's pack. Shahabuddin is an individual from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and speaks to Siwan in the Lok Sabha. He was as of late sentenced by an extraordinary quick track court in Siwan in two instances of snatching. Gopalganj More Chowk, a little intersection from where the roadway to Gopalganj (RJD boss Laloo Prasad's home) opens, is presently formally called Chandrashekhar Chowk.

"Shahabuddin will clearly be sentenced and hanged for the homicide. It is the petitions to God of numerous moms and dowagers in Siwan who lost their beloveds throughout the years by his shots," 72-year-old Kaushalya Devi told Tehelka at her little house in Bindusar town, four kilometers from Siwan town.

The CPI (ML) administration welcomed Shahabuddin's feelings with incredible satisfaction, yet their eagerness is not shared by her. "The gathering says the feelings are the triumph of the oppressed or the working class. There is no such thing. The killings by Shahabuddin were for political reasons: to catch power. Like Shahabuddin, it was immaculate governmental issues for the CPI (ML) as well. The same revolting governmental issues proceeds even today," she said.

It wouldn't be a lot of a misrepresentation to say that after her spouse, a sergeant in the Air Force, kicked the bucket of heart failure in 1973, she lived for her seven-year-old child. She just got Rs 150 as annuity however she ensured that her child was instructed well. He initially went to the Sainik School in Jhumri-Tilaiya, then went to the National Defense Academy in Pune and after that to JNU.
